As time goes on, and We are picking up rubbish, I look around in the hot weather & I see the intense gleaming & shininess of the broken glass & water in the distance. I hear the faint crashing of the waves over the sea wall as if it’s talking. It’s so hot, I think it is similar to Samoan weather in the dry season, & that when I open my mouth I reckon I can taste the evaporating water. When I step on the sand, whilst It is all soft It feels like burning coals! But while all these things are going on I'm in deep thought ‘Do people really care about the ocean?’ While I stare at all the rubbish in the bags. Lighters, glass, plastic, rusted iron…
In Scott class we went to onehunga beach to pick up rubbish so that rubbish does not end up in our seafood dinner. & also to keep the population of fish up.
