Walt: write super sentences

WALT write super sentences.

There are 7 different ways to write super sentences!
  1. Add in words
  2. Drop in chunks of information
  3. Add on at the end
  4. Add on at the beginning
  5. Change words
  6. Add a simile
  7. Alliterate

In pairs change this sentence in the seven different ways, stick to one way for each new sentence.

The boy ran down to the river.

  1. The handsome boy sped down to the littered river.
  2. The really smart boy ran as fast as a cheetah down to the river to save the cat.
  3. The boy ran down the river to save the cat.
  4. The really smart boy dashed down the river bank, down to the river.
  5. The child rushed over to the stream.
  6. The boy sneakily ran down the river like a spy.
  7. The tiny boy tapped and tipped down to the river.

Put all into one sentence.

The Child walked to school.

The academic child trotted off with a tip & a tap to elementary school like a horse.

Hockey Week 6

Hi guys, today {13/06/16} we had another hockey practice. The reason I haven't been blogging about these because they are on Monday & I have been sick the past few Mondays. So today we learnt how to do a sweep hit. A sweep hit is when you charge up momentum with your stick by sweeping it across the ground and then hitting the ball really hard. Then we had a game after. Here are a few photos...

Here is just before the Girls nearly scored.

This is some of us practising.

More Practising!
The game progressing.

A good shot of Roman performing a sweep hit.

And me practising with my friend.

My Term 2 Reflection 2015

Backward-Looking:
What have been your learning highlights this term?
I really liked P.E like Netball and Badminton. I also liked how we got to opt in to geometry workshops and choose what we do. Finally, I liked the new P.E equipment, for example the tennis nets because the old ones were ripped and saggy.

Inward-Looking:
What were your Learner Profile goals for Term 2? Have your goals changed? Are you on track to meet your goals?
I think a few of my goals were to stay focused and on track with what I’m doing. My goals have changed quite a bit like from being kind to being focused (as above). I think my goals have worked me well since I’ve got alot of work done when I this goal.

Outward-Looking:
If you were the teacher, what comments would you make about your learning so far?
Alright for a Year 5, Maybe get a bit more work done considering will be Year 6 soon.

Forward-Looking:
As you look back at your learning so far, what's one thing that you would like to try to improve upon?
Being focused and not talking to people and being distracted.
